Enchantments

Enchantments are special magical effects, bound to an object or creature, which augment them in some way.

Enchantments can be permanent, or temporary. Temporary enchantments are typically gained from spells.

Enchantments come in different categories. Unless an enchantment’s category is Unique, you can only have 1 enchantment of that category upon any given object or creature.

The categories are as listed below:

  • Unique Enchantment - An enchantment that has its own specified rules. Is not overridden by other enchantments.

  • Weapon Enchantment - An enchantment that may only augment a weapon.

  • Armor Enchantment - An enchantment that may only augment armor.

  • Object Enchantment - An enchantment that augments inanimate objects, such as a brick, or a sword.

  • Creature Enchantment - An enchantment that may only augment a creature.

Permanent enchantments can not be overridden by other enchantments, meaning there can only be 1 permanent enchantment of any category other than Unique enchantments.

Temporary enchantments are overridden when another enchantment of the same category is successfully placed upon the enchanted object or creature.
