Crest of the Chevalier

Knights who boast the Crest of the Chevalier are known for their skills as a rider. They are commonly born of noble houses, or have proven themselves before their masters, serving as the leading charge in battle. The Chevalier and their mount are a versatile and methodical pair, breaking through their foes with speed and power.

Gestalt

At Level 1, you have a greater understanding of the relationship between rider and mount, and gain a number of benefits.

Mounting and dismounting a creature costs 1 less AP.

You also have advantage on saving throws or skill checks made to avoid falling off your mount.

If you fall no more than 10 feet off of your mount, you may land on your feet instead of falling prone after succeeding a DC 10 Acrobatics check.

You gain a +2 bonus to accuracy with reaction attacks.

Rider’s Ward

At Level 5, you have mastered the art of protecting your mount and others while mounted.

While you are mounted, as a reaction, if a target makes an attack, and the target is in range, you may make a melee attack against the target. This attack occurs before the target’s attack, and imposes Disadvantage on the target’s attack if it hits.

You can force attacks targeting your mount to hit you instead at will if you are mounted, or within 5 feet of your mount. These attacks cannot be protected by your armor class, and instead use your mount’s armor class.

Charge of Superiority

At Level 9, you and your mount work in tandem to exploit your enemy’s weaknesses.

If you are mounted, your attacks against creatures any size class smaller than your mount’s are made at advantage.

If you move at least 15 feet in a straight line, your next melee attack deals an additional damage dice.

Your ranged attacks gain 5 feet of additional range while you are mounted.

Charge of Vigilance

At Level 13, you and your mount become an unstoppable force.

If you move at least 15 feet in a straight line while mounted, your next melee attack may cause the target to fall prone if they are not a larger size than your mount. The target must succeed a (DC = Damage Dealt By Hit) Strength Saving Throw or fall prone.

If you move at least 15 feet in a straight line while mounted, your mount cannot be affected by difficult terrain or slowed below it's base Movement speed.
