Elemental Soul
Born with a soul empowered by the most base elements, an Elemental Sorcerer can manipulate these elements into a new kind of power. They are versatile, and look at nature and the world around them for true understanding.
Soul of Many Parts
At Level 1, you have unlocked the core of your powers. Your soul is twisted and comprised of the elements that make up every living thing, and you are keenly aware of this. As such, you have an acute control over the magical energies your Soul can produce, and what form it takes. You gain the Elemental Shift Sorcery, and the Disperse Elements Sorcery.
Elemental Shift 🜂
When you cast a spell that deals an amount of elemental damage, you can spend 1 additional AP to change its damage type to another Elemental damage.
Disperse Elements
As a reaction, you can reduce an amount of elemental damage dealt to you by rolling your Vitality Dice, an amount of times equal to your Sorcerer Level divided by 3, minimum 1.
Coursing Elements
At Level 5, you have gained a new level of control over your elemental soul, and your powers run through you. You gain 2 new Sorceries, Body Investiture and Elemental Adept, and a new Essence Ability, Elemental Intensity.
Body Investiture
Over the course of an hour, you can ritually attune to an Elemental Damage type of your choice. At the end of the ritual, you gain Resistance to the elemental damage type for 24 hours, until you are unconscious, or you die.
Elemental Adept
When you cast a spell that deals elemental damage, you can choose to spend 2 additional AP in order to cause your spell to ignore one type of elemental damage resistance. If the target is immune to the chosen elemental damage type, it is resisted instead.
Elemental Intensity
When you cast a spell that deals elemental damage, you can spend Essence to add additional damage dice. The amount of dice added is equal to two times the amount of Essence spent in this way.
Reshape the Elements
At Level 9, you come to understand the liquidity of all things. The elements at your beck and call, you can change the elements present in your environment.
Transmutation
For 4 AP, surfaces or areas of Water & Ice, Fire, Lightning, Acid, or Toxins in up to a 10 foot area can be transmuted to magical imitations of one of the other elements. A bucket of water can become filled with flame, or a volume of electricity. Torches lighting a dungeon can be turned into light emitting lightning, crackling atop the torch, or a frigid magical emission of ice. This ability requires concentration, and can last up to 10 minutes.
Additionally, you can use the Elemental Shift Sorcery for 0 AP.
Communion of Elements
At Level 13, when you take damage from an elemental damage type, spells that you cast that deal that damage type cost 1 less AP to cast until the next time you end your turn.
Additionally, you can use the Elemental Adept Sorcery for 1 less AP.
Elemental Mastery
At Level 17, you gain a new Essence ability, Soul Investiture.
Soul Investiture
You become an embodiment of one of the 5 elemental damages for 3 Essence and 6 AP. You choose an elemental damage type from the list of Fire, Cold, Lightning Toxin and Acid, and your body is wreathed in a magical torrent of the chosen element. While in this form, you have immunity to the Element you chose, and you can use Communion of Elements with the chosen Element type without needing to take damage from the associated type.
You stay in this form until you die, go unconscious, or choose to leave it for 1 AP.
