The old, ignoble language of the lowlands, Voorish is said to originate as an offshoot of ancient Rivan which eventually became its own language. It is called the “Low-Tongue,” by some, perhaps as a derogatory statement, or perhaps as a recognition of the wetlands, swamps and ravines the language is commonly found in. The Depths is known to have some creatures who speak Voorish, but in the world above, Voorish is spoken by Beastfolk, Ogres, Goblins, and all manner of other creatures of the mire.
