For over 200 years Marldurn worked to restore prosperity to Phandalin. A deal struck between himself and Venomfang, a Green Dragon, is responsible for the cities protection and, in recent times, its wealth. Marldurn's was only able to earn the respect of Venomfang by his practice in the way of the dragon. Upon Marldurn’s passing, it seems Venomfang has abandoned his lair atop Icespire Peak.
