Ort's Contract with the Eternal Archive

Contract for becoming a level 1 operative for the Eternal Archive

Article 1 Ort Eratèa recognises that they are entering into an exclusive arrangement with the Eternal Archive and will be bound to secrecy. They cannot disclose any confidential information regarding the library’s activities, except to any other members of the library. (This includes the specific wording of this contract)

Article 2 Ort Eratèa commits to locate and retrieve copies of rare and unique books to deposit with the Eternal Archive. When they encounter a book they believe may be unique, they promise to give the Eternal Archive an exclusive non-negotiable first opportunity to accept the book into the collection.

Article 3 Ort Eratèa agrees to follow the Eternal Archives principle of political neutrality and will not enter into a formal relationship with interested parties on the plane of Gyrus Origo without clearance from the Eternal Archive. This extends to not interfering with the revolution of ages on Gyrus Origo.

Article 4 In return for their services, the society will support Ort Eratèa in the field with the lending of equipment, provided that they meet all of the duties as outlined in this contract. The level of experience with the Eternal Archive will directly impact the rarity of objects lent to the operative. All requests must be made in writing to their field operative controller. Exact items may not always be available and the Eternal Archive reserves the right to substitute an item with an item of similar effect. 

Article 5 To ensure that they are able to adequately perform their duties, the operative may request support from specialists of the Eternal Archive. Specialists that could be requested include but are not limited to Arcanist, Assassin, Botanist, Guard, Navigator, Sage.

Article 6 Normally operatives will work on a voluntary basis, only accepting quests they choose to attempt. No penalty is applied to the operative for failing a task but progression within the Eternal Archive is only possible on successful completion of quests. However, in extreme emergency circumstances the Eternal Archive reserves the right to assign a specific task to the operative to retrieve a book or Eternal Archive operative that is at imminent risk of destruction.

Article 7 If Ort Eratèa breaks the terms of this agreement they will face disciplinary process from the Eternal Archive. Initially in the form of a written warning, escalating to expulsion from the Eternal Archive and exile to an outer plane.

Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions: I, Ort Eratèa, accept these terms and agree to fulfil my duties with secrecy and diligence.
