Background

Perched upon a pale, wind-scoured outcropping in the great bend of the mighty River Ere, its towers command the waterway as it follows souths towards the sea. For over six centuries its walls have stood watch, built in an age before the Fall, when the Kingdom of Galdoria was whole.

Named for the the effect of dawn's first light on on the light stone beneath the keep's foundations, the castle is the ancestral seat of House Calderwyn, baronial rulers of Estantia.

In the long centuries since the world shattered, Palerock has become the most northerly keep still held by the hands of humankind untainted by the creeping shadow from the north.

Adventure Hooks
