Overview
Drakenbrück Castle occupies one of only two crossings of the mighty , Blackwater Run, the river that effectively splits the duchy in two.
Ancestral seat of House Wrymstein they were granted the rights to build a castle and collect tolls as a reward for military service.
The current ruler is Countess Helga Wrymstein, a childless widow and last of that great line. Recently she has been forced to sell her toll rights to a prominent merchant Hans Gruban to raise money to pay her taxes to the Duke.
Many in the castle now whisper that it is Hans that effectively rules at Drakenbrück.

Possible Plot Hooks
A Corrupt Merchant
The party are hired by the Countess to investigate the shady merchant Hans Gruban, she suspected he is corrupt and seeks to steal her castle from her, setting himself up as a noble! He must be stopped, but be wary rumour has it he has some of the guards in his pocket.
Money Owed
The duke is owed money by his vassals House Wrymstein, officials have contracted the party to head to Drakenbrück to ensure the taxes are paid.
Missing Goods
A prominent merchant, Hans Gruban, hires the party to track down some goods that have gone missing. The caravan was last seen heading for Drakenbrück Castle but hasn't been seen since. He suspects the Countess might have something to do with it as there is little love lost between them.
