A mercenary band has been stopped in the area, the Black Pike Company. Formidable fighters and barely a step up from bandits in temperament they are causing trouble in Estania. The party hear of a caravan that was recently attacked and are sent to investigate.
Act One: Pillaged Caravan
The party will find a caravan slaughtered on the road north-west of Roserun, they will find evidence that points to the Black Pike Company as the attackers but their is an more worrying development. A courier within the slain caravan was carrying vital intel that the Black Pike Company are planning an attack on Ironwood Watch, a fortress that guards the eastern road out of Estania, a vital trade route.
Act Two: Ironwood Watch
The party will arrive at the fortress and find it under attack by the mercenaries. They must rush to the defenders aid or the fortress will surely fall!
During the fight it becomes clear that the purpose of the raid was not to capture the fort but to take important prisoners to use as bargaining chips to gain leverage.
Act Three: Black Pike Camp
The party are tasked by the forts commander to rescue the captured defender by any way they see fit.
The party must travel to the very north of Estania to the Black Pike Camp to free the poor devils!
