Welcome to the magical world of Altea, the world in which the game Knights of Cathena is set.

This is where you can explore all of Altea, either through the Geography world map or various articles and wiki pages.

To make it easier for you to get started, let me give you a short guide of the main sections from which you can dive into the world. If this is not your kind of thing, you can start exploring on your own by using the page tree to your left. But be careful; dangers await in this world!

History

Altea has a rich and diverse history which starts with the Creation Mythology where the world came into being and follows Races and Cultures through the ages.

Here you can find pages detailing historical accounts. These are separated into ages where pages about a specific age present you with a timeline of all important events during that age, although the age's sub-pages allow you to further drill down to specific cultural or racial events which are not as significant to appear on the overall timeline.

Races and Cultures

Altea is home to a plethora of different cultures and fantasy races, each with its own history and oddities. Currently, the wiki only holds accounts and information about the Humans race, but be on the lookout for new fantasy races.

Geography

The best and easiest way to explore Altea is through its geography and thus consequently a map. Here you will be presented with all of Altea’s oceans and landmass, from landmarks to towns and encampments, each potentially interesting location marked allowing you to drill down to the vast lore and history Altea holds.

Flora and Fauna

Altea is not only home to diverse Races and Cultures but is filled with interesting creatures and plants. Here you to easily study the world's unique Flora and Fauna through scientific classification and insightful linking to other sections to give each plant and beast an anchor within the world.

Religion and Mythology

Religion and its Mythology including their respective Deities play an enormous role within the world of Altea. First and foremost because the Creation story is part of the overall History. Here you can dive deeper into the different gods and goddesses and their respective pantheons as well as how Altea was created.

Astronomy and Cosmology

A planet never orbits alone! And Altea is no exception to the rule. Astronomy plays a role in every culture, be it forecasting cataclysmic events or just the study of moving celestial bodies and their accompanied meaning to the culture. Here you can dive into the Star System home to Altea with its two suns and Altea’s three moons, celestial Events, and star Constellations.

Calendars and Timekeeping

Keeping track of time is essential these days, but even on Altea the wise and knowledgeable knew the value of time and of its passing. Here you can dive into calendars conceived by the different Races and Cultures and their respective meaning.

Languages

Language is the gateway to knowledge. The same is true on Altea where different Races and Cultures and even Deities speak their own languages. Here you can dive into the languages of the world, how they are put together, and even try to learn a few phrases.

Miscellaneous

Welcome to the uncategorized, here you will find miscellaneous topics that did not fit neatly into any of the above-described sections. If you’re brave you can take a look on your own but most pages will link to here if the information presented holds any value to the current context.
