Lexdomina

“We find ourselves achieving more everyday!" - Arcanotech Inventor

The City of Progress

Lexdomina is the majestic capital of the Lexdomina Dynasty, founded in the year 494 PC on a strategic and resource-rich location. Over the centuries, it has grown to become the largest and most influential city in Cyneria, and the cultural and military hub of Southern Cyneria. It is a city of contrasts, where the nobles, politicians, and wealthy elite enjoy lavish lifestyles in the inner wards, while the poor and downtrodden look up from Anim'Odxel. It is a city of innovation, where arcanocrafters and inventors create wonders and marvels with arcanocraft, attracting merchants and craftsmen from all over the continent. It is a city of progress, where airships soar in the sky, bringing goods and opportunities to its bustling streets and markets. Lexdomina is a city where fortunes can be made and dreams can be lived, but also where dangers lurk and secrets hide. It is a city that never sleeps, always reinventing itself as a lodestone for the world. This city is also where the majority of the Arcaconclave, the archmages that work for the Lexdomina Dynasty, have their permanent residences.

Below Lexdomina is Anim' Odxel, a completely separate city. Lexdomina's ruler abandoned the people down there and so they were forced to make a new life.

The Crown District

The administrative heart of the city, featuring imposing government buildings, the royal palace, and residences of high officials.

Notable Locations:

  • The Lexdominal Palace - a magnificent structure of marble and enchanted glass that changes color to reflect the mood of the city's ruler.

  • The Iron Tower - a dark spire that rises from the heart of the Crown District, its blackened metal surface absorbing light rather than reflecting it. Constructed from meteoric iron and reinforced with arcane sigils, this imposing structure serves as both monument and prison, housing the captive Fairy Queen Agonia within its enchanted walls. By royal decree, all buildings in the Crown District must stand shorter than the Iron Tower, ensuring it dominates the skyline as a perpetual reminder of the Lord's strength.

The Arcane Quarter

Home to the Arcaconclave and magical institutions. Buildings float or appear architecturally impossible, with perpetual magical light illuminating the streets.

Notable Locations:

  • The Arcaconclave Spire - a 12-sided tower that rotates slowly, housing the archmages who serve the dynasty

  • The Academy of Arcanocraft Innovation - where new magic-technology is researched and taught
