In the aftermath of the War of the Gods, the Divine Accord was struck and the Gods withdrew from the Material Plane, cutting it off from the Outer Planes. Thus came the Age of the Ancients, when the first races were left in the Material Plane to act as they wished.

It was a time of relative stability, where the ancients could enact great works and form magnificent civilsations. Among these were the Great Kingdom of the Giants, the Domain of the Dragon Conclave, and the Magnificent Kingdoms of the Sun and Moon Elves.
