The chief deity of evil dragonkind, greed, trickery, and evil. Is said to have killed the The First Dragon.
Mythos
One of the first two gods created by the The First Dragon, alongside her twin Bahamut.
During the war of Asmodues, Tiamat initially fought alongside the The First Dragon and her twin brother Bahamut. However, she eventually either began to agree with the ambition of Asmodues or saw some other benefit to joining his side and struck the The First Dragon dead at a pivotal moment.
Tiamat was joined in her betrayal by the chromatic dragons over which she held sway.
As Asmodeus was defeated and banished to Baator, Tiamat evaded the gods and slipped into the material plane. There she persisted for most of the Age of Frost and Flame until a group of heroes under the patronage of Bahamut defeated her and banished her from the world.
Eternal rival of Bahamut for the betrayal of the The First Dragon and the harmony of the world.
Some cults and followers of Tiamat worship her as the goddess that released magic into the world by killing the The First Dragon. In this way Tiamat is seen as a force for independence. For the chromatic dragons, she seen as a force for both independence and the power to dominate.
Cosmologically, Tiamat is opposed to Bahamut, her eternal rival and God of Justice, and Milil, God of Creation.
