Da'ir the Lady of the Source
Da'ir is the Goddess of wild magic, the Source, and of Nature.
Lady of the Source
Da'ir is the High God with the utmost control of the Source, the wild and unpredictable magic that surges and flows through the worlds. Da'ir is the wellspring of this magical energy, ensuring its flow into the cosmos, but controlling it.
Da'ir is one of the two Twin Gods of Magic. She controls the Source while her brother controls the Weave. The Twins are intrinsically linked and opposed.
As the Lady of the Source, Da'ir and her followers work to preserve the freedom of the Source, preserving it in its natural state and opposing those that would seek to control and exploit it. The Source can be used by all with power over it, but to attempt to govern or restrict it is a sacrilege. As the Lady of the Source, Da'ir personifies the drive of discovery, to seek out and roam the unexplored.
Lady of the Lake
In her preservation of the Source and the world in its natural state, Da'ir is also the Goddess of Nature. The wild and untamed growth of the world, much like the Source, is the most beautiful and natural state. All attempts to impose an unnatural order over the world is opposed by her followers. As the Goddess of Nature, Da'ir is strongly associated with lakes. Much like the Source, the water that flows from the Lady of the Lake brings life into the world.
Ideals & Tenets
Balance. The world and the Source can only exist in a state of balance. To upset this too strongly in any direction is bound to cause unforeseen consequences.
Growth. Both in nature and in the self, you should nurture growth. In all things there exists the seed of something more.

Myths & Deeds
The Tale of the Twins
Maestra and Da'ir are the Twin Gods of Magic, the children of Sôlus and Manirse, separated in the Age of Creation. Many stories are told of how the Twins were lost to one another, but what all agree is that the ordered Maestra forever follows the unruly Da'ir.
One story tells that in the Age of Creation, the Twins worked together, Da'ir discovering and Maestra perfecting. However, when the magic of the The First Dragon was released into the world in the The Splintering, the Source was infused in Da'ir while Maestra harnessed and ordered the Weave. Da'ir was blinded by the immense power but gained immense power from the Source. Though powerful, Da'ir lost her direction and was scattered to edges of the world. After learning to control the Weave, Maestra began to search for his sister, doomed to never find her. For where order goes, chaos shifts.
Another story claims that when magic was released into the world during the The Splintering, Maestra and Da'ir both flourished, the magic granting them power and purpose. The Twins worked with one another, each learning to use the magic in their own way. However, when Maestra the world's magic and ordered it into the Weave, its constraints caused Da'ir to wither and weaken, even to the point of losing her sight. The Twins fought and in their battle part of the Weave was severed and released into the Source. Taking the Source for herself, Da'ir moved into the farthest edges of the world to be forever chased by her brother.
Another story still claims that following the The Splintering Da'ir, being the force of innovation, did many great works with the Source. Maestra, growing jealous of his sister, stole her eyes and used them to see the Weave within the Source.
Divine Relations
Maestra
Da'ir and Maestra are the Twin Gods of Magic. The two are linked but represent the opposite sides of magic, chaos versus order, and are opposed as the gods of nature and civilisation. Where one is, the other cannot be. Scholars differ on the exact nature of their relationship, some saying they are long lost but loving siblings, others that they are nemeses.
Shaytas
Da'ir is opposed to Shaytas as the god of Decay. While decay is a natural part of the cycle of renewal, Shaytas seeks to end the cycle and force all life to wither.
