Súm

An Eír goddess of summer.

Mythos

As Sôlus created the Sun and Manirse the Moon, their coupling brought forth the twins Súm and Séta. On her birth, Súm brought the first summer into the world. As Súm revelled in the pleasure she had brought on the world, Séta despised the warmth. After some time had passed she brought chill and winter into the world. Súm and her summer was driven away for some time until she came back with full force, once more driving off Séta. Thus started the passing of the seasons as the twins bicker back and forth.
