Branðr

Saðr of Adventure, Courage, and Leadership. A Northmarkr hero of legend.

Mythos

Towards the end of the the Age of Frost and Flame, around 50 b.e., Branðr was born into a small human family in Northmark. From a young age he would begin travelling, coming into many adventures through the years. At this time, Demonic Lords ruled most of Asdar, though only a few were present north of the mountains. There came a time when the Demon Lord Al'thezoth began to bring ruin on Northmark with his legions of devilkind. Branðr had become known as an adventurer through the land but now he took it upon himself to unite the disparate tribes of men, giants, and other peoples to stand against the Demon. After a great battle in the hills and dogging the Demon Lord into the mountains with his closest companions, Branðr dealt a killing blow to Al'thezoth, giving his own life in the process.

Branðr had earned the peoples of Northmark more freedom from the demons of Asdar. After his death, Branðr was venerated as a saðr of Adventure, Leadership, and Courage by men and giants of the north.
