Baldaquin
Canton of Baldaquin
South of Flourmanie
In northwestern Flourmanie lies Baldaquin, a heavily forested and hilly canton of plentiful resources. Baldaquin is home to many feuding counts and houses, yet no duke, and has only nominal fealty to the monarchs of Flourmanie. Historically, the kings of Flourmanie have often attempted to appoint a Duke of Baldaquin in order to gain control of the region, yet rarely lasting more than a generation before infighting tore them down.
Baldaquin is characterised by its dense picturesque forests and rocky bergs. Many profitable mines dot the hillsides, making Baldaquin the chief provider of ores to Flourmanie.
