Zaratoza
Though once in Ajuraasi hands, the prosperous lands and cities around the river Zaratz have been conquered by Westr没n knights. A century having passed with the invaders in control, a hybrid culture has formed here. Though initially intolerant and persecutive, the newer generations of Zaratosi lords now in many ways embrace the ways of the region, while still keeping much of their own heritage.
The Zaratosi now control most of the cities and forts along the river Zaratz. The Zaratosi are not centralised under one ruler, though the lords of major cities and forts often have vassals under them. Since the first conquest of the region a common council, the High Court, has existed however. First convened to elect which of the Westr没n knights would receive holdings and plan the wars ahead, the High Court may now convene in times of strife or to adjudicate issues. The High Court is most often convened in the city of Telos, granting it much prestige.
