A fanatical sect surrounding Helia and King Strasgor
The Sect of Helia in Taverna holds a specific belief surrounding the goddess, namely believing King Strasgor to be her divine avatar on the mortal world. The sect have taken on a fanatic belief and are enacting it upon the conquered lands of Tavernenland.
Tenets
The King is an Avatar of the Lady. King Strasgor is a holy incarnation of Helia, sent to the material plane to lead us to glory.
Our Conquest is Glory. The War of the Princes is a righteous and holy war.
Structure & Position
The Conquering Flame is the faith of Tavernenland and its king, who spread it to all their conquered territories. The Church and the state have become highly interconnected, the king allowing the priests to conduct inquisitions in Taverna and conquered principalities.
Central to the sect are the Flameguard. The Guardians of the Eternal Flame, or Flameguard, is an old Order of Paladins based in Taverna devoted to Helia. They guard the temples of their Goddess and serve devout martial lord to vanquish her foes. The Flameguard have recently come to faithfully serve King Strasgor as elite troops and royal bodyguards. The devout of the Order believe the King to be the Herald of Helia, her son and chosen on the mortal plane.

The cult is devoted to King Strasgor of Tavernenland, currently enacting a war of conquest in Kantvar.
Most spiritual matters are handled by Prince-Archbishop Deamos, the de facto leader of the sect.

Grand Temple of Helia in Taverna. In Taverna lies the Grand Temple of Helia, a massive cathedral housing priests, clerics, acolytes, and paladins. Religious and military training of paladins is central to the temple. The Grand Temple houses a great artefact of the faith, the Eternal Flame, blazing in its central plaza.
Exalted Temple of Helia at Dellcolli. The Exalted Temple of Helia is a grand cathedral and the seat of Prince-Archbishop Deamos and the principality of Dellcolli.
