The Parity
The parity is a faith devoted to the balance and cycles of life and death. There is no life without death, and both must be respected equally. In neither life eternal nor absolute death lies a balance in which mortals can exist, and so the cycle must go on. The priests of the Parity most frequently tend to the dead of their community. Most commoners do not consider the Parity much until they are met with death and need their guidance.
A follower of the faith is called a parit.
