Sharr

Sharr, Mistress of Night

Blessed Nightsinger, witness our adoration. See how we serve you, only you. We have emptied our hearts of falsehoods. We have vanquished your foes. In darkness, we see your truth. Embrace us, your loyal warriors. Cloak us in your shadow. Guide us to your victory. Sharr's will shall be done. As sure as night will fall.

Prayer of an unknown cleric of Sharr

Basic Information

Sharr is the goddess of darkness, night, and loss.

She is the goddess of darkness, not only as the absence of light but also as the metaphorical darkness that dwelled in one's heart, mind, and soul. The domain of the Mistress of the Night is not only that of dark places, but of deeds done under darkness, of secrets, loss, hidden pain, and wanting to forget.

Sharr is locked in a deep rivalry with her twin sister Manirse, the moon that lights the night. Some believe that in the Age of Creation they were in a balance, a harmonious one by Sharr's standards, until Manirse betrayed her sister by allying with S么lus the Sun to expel the dark from the world.
