Catalpa is led by their proud Baron Cornelius, who is allied to the Tharrosians. The Catalpans follow the Lion they refer to as Adonai (My Master), or sometimes Elohim (My Lord), but believe the true name of their God is too sacred to speak aloud. The economy of Catalpa is primarily agriculture, but they are developing an extensive trade network with ambitions to build a city of splendor and center of commerce. Their latest endeavor has been to establish a bank. The Baron has several children who are being raised in Osterra and know no other home. Unconfirmed rumors abound that the Baron secretly runs a criminal network of thieves and spies made-up primarily of Osterran youth.
