“As long as it is for the people, leadership has its purposes.”
“I never actually said that, Qu3yph@.” - Amathien
Biography:
Amathien hails from the world of Ardhon, from a city called Merethrond in the kingdom of Anarion. It is not the happiest of places. Harsh nobility and even harsher foes have led to constant instability for over a millennium. In this, Amathien grew up lucky. Her father was a well established fisherman and her mother a scribe and they kept things stable. Until her father died on a noble’s sword and Amathien, at the ripe age of 10, was conscripted into his garrison forces. She spent the next decade training or in the library until one of the Royal Regiments needed more soldiers. And so she was sent off, to serve the king on the border, repelling orcish raiders, and worse, that came out of the ancient wood they guarded. One day though, an ambush by orcs and a dark elf went wrong. Amathien pursued her foe through a portal, waking up in Osterra, with no dark elf in sight.

Amathien’s years as a warrior have served her well in the realm. Initially taking up roost in The Grove, she eventually found her true calling in aiding the peoples of Crescent’s Edge. Almost without her realizing, she soon was elected captain of The Irregulars, hoisted from a soldier to a leader. She also became quite renowned in the realm for her exceptional combat prowess. She fought hard to win two realm-hosted tournaments in the Valkyrie and Sword and Board brackets, displaying her martial prowess for all comers. She was also swiftly chosen by the adventurers of Osterra to stand toe-to-toe with a mighty orc champion on the quest to eliminate The Destroyer. Additionally, Amathien works directly with The Sentinels as one of their guards, keeping precious artifacts and research away from thieving mitts. Always a frontliner, Amathien has consistently used her shield to protect the weak, and her blade to punish the wicked.
Appearance

A brave soldier through and through, she is seldom seen without her plate armor, and even more seldom without a blade. Though she does go mostly unarmored to formal events, that won’t stop her from some bouts of lively dueling in her finery. She proudly wears her faction insignia on her chest, as well as at her waist. When faced with fierce combat, she will don her winged helmet, and descend upon her foes.
