Pie-Rat Industries is an Osterran general store, commerce hub, and skills parlor. Its services vary every event, but it is a centralized place to earn and spend in-game coin. Pie-Rat Industries is often co-located with another Merchant Vendor, Fable Flowers & Fauna, possibly so that Oonagh Cardot may keep a close eye on its activities.

Description

Pie-Rat Industries' mission is to provide goods and services for Osterran coin and cycle that revenue back into play by funding side quests, rare antiquities, and improvements for the Realm.

Run by a former corsair-turned-procurement-expert, Pie-Rat Industries consists of a few consistent services every event: locks (and lockpicking), traps (and trapbreaking), and refreshments. However, every event has unique offerings reflecting the event or the in-world location in which it is held.

Pie-Rat’s founder, Trez, is a member of The Grove, which has a core, fundamental tenet: “our allegiance is to Osterra.”

As a native Osterran, Trez’s vision especially reflects this, funneling his revenue to stabilizing the realm, rendering it resilient against outside influence.

Soon after acquiring reliable capital, Pie-Rat Industries began to offer Quests to introduce new arrivals to key persons, Factions, and the world generally. These quests are fully subsidized by the shop’s revenue. To date, over 500 gold has been given away to help new arrivals through the Portals become better-acquainted with Osterra. The shop also heavily supports projects aimed at defending and improving the world through charitable donation in-game.

Reputation

Overall, Pie-Rat Industries has grown in a relatively short period from a sign and table and no chairs to a large tent structure supporting multiple services at every event. Every new investment here makes its way back into Osterra in some shape or form. But has Trez really reformed? It's unclear if this is fully a Charitable Contributions business, or if there are underlying Dubious Dealings. The Arrigo name is one of a sordid history within Osterra. Time will tell how Pie-Rat Industries impacts the Realm.
