The Caidreach Freehold is the democratic nation that currently governs the cities of Crescent’s Edge and Witches' Wend and protects several smaller settlements within its bounds. The governing body of the Freehold is made up of elected citizens, who then make decisions to help maintain the peace and prosperity of the nation and its territories. The Irregulars are the military and diplomatic structure for this nation, who listen to and advise the people on matters of politics and security. Both Crescent’s Edge and Witches' Wend have their own respective city governments, which ensures operations run smoothly for the communities and their peoples.

The Irregulars and The Caidreach Freehold have reestablished communication with the elves of Misriki, and work with them to protect the Great Forest from those who would exploit it. Though tensions were high, the Vidarians and the Elves of Misriki were able to strike an agreement for peace, and promise cooperation into the future. The Caidreach Freehold is now less on the defensive as The Irregulars head up negotiations with the Khanate and the Prismatic Troupe.
