Biography
Arion is an elven Bard who has been traveling alone through many realms on a search for her sister. She has been through many portals, and didn't expect to get stuck when she went through the portal that brought her to this world, but here she has remained for some time.
She was 10 and her sister was 12 when their home village was attacked by Orcs. As they had been forewarned, her parents sent Arion and Jes to lead the rest of the children to a safe hiding place in the forest while the adults stayed to defend their homes. After a day, Jes went back to town to see why their parents hadn't come to tell them it was safe to return. When Jes didn't return Arion went to town and discovered everything burned to the ground, and the bodies of her parents in front of what had been their home. Jes was nowhere to be found.
Arion went back to the hiding place and led the rest of the children to the next town, where they were taken in by the kind townspeople who had heard news of the Orc attack. Arion was taken in by the Innkeeper and his wife, and grew to be strong, learning something of the ways of the world from the people of many races that visited the inn. All were welcomed if they came in peace. One day a Bard came through, carrying a beautiful harp. He stayed for some time and entertained the townsfolk, and Arion begged to learn to play. He taught her the three strains of music (Laughing, crying, sleeping) and she became his Apprentice. With the blessing of her adopted parents she chose to accompany the Bard when he left for the next town. As The Bard's Apprentice she was able to earn a living and travel, always searching for her sister Jes as they went from town to town. After many adventures the Bard was killed during an attack on the road, and as he lay dying he named Arion as the Bard and begged her to take his harp and continue their work. And so now she is Arion, Elven Bard, skilled with bow and sword, and skilled in playing the music to stir the soul and heal the body. She continues her search for Jes, and went through the portal that brought her to this world.
