Wyrmwood Hollow
A circular clearing cut into a large forest, Wyrmwood Hollow hosts a watch tower at its center, covered in vibrant foliage. The Tower has roots that run deep into the earth, harboring an unsettling power.

One winter night, Nargrax Damesguard awoke to see a jet black lion with red eyes standing before the Grove camp. As though possessed, he suited up and began to follow it. Members of The Grove gradually noticed and roused. Seeing the spiritual guide, they, too, followed. The Lion was impossibly fast. But suddenly, the members of the Grove were as well, stepping through plains, forests, and mountains without tiring. Days seemed to pass quickly, but the travelers were faster, moving with the Lion as it bounded, as though toward danger.

Suddenly, the coal-eyed lion turned and disappeared. The Grove found themselves under a strange forest canopy. Black marks, chars, and red flickering like coals characterized the dirt. A few more steps, and they were upon a broad clearing, perfectly circular, with an ominous ruined tower and the center. The Grove split up to investigate it, when they were ambushed by various archers in the forested periphery.
Nargrax erupted into his dragon form and with a breath, set fire to many archers, but the fires continued unabated: the dirt seared and burned unrelenting, as though fueling its intensity. To contain it, Oonagh Cardot cast Ice Storm to put out the conflagration, as the Grove fiercely defended the ruined tower. Working together to charge the archers, hurl daggers, heal wounds, and secure the structure, the Grove drove out a dozen or more assailants.
Led by Oonagh and Dame Gwion, the sisterhood utilized a ritual to cleanse the area. Great vines and foliage crept up the tower and flowers bloomed from the once-flammable soil around it. The properties and story of Wyrmwood Hollow are mysterious and unknown as of yet, but Trez and Jay have discovered mines within the tower that bore deep into the earth.
Description
A lush forest greets you as you make your way to Wyrmwood Hollow-- a small cluster of buildings just on the cusp of becoming a bustling village. The clearing is large enough to host workshops, tradeshops, homes, and more, but as of yet, all a visitor would see are the skeletons of buildings under construction and an imposing Watchtower covered in ivy vines at the center, surrounded by a field of wildflowers.
Some evenings, you may witness Nargrax perched atop the tower, watching as though for beasts within the bounds of the forest. The ground hums with a strange energy, and if you were to sift the dirt through your fingers, you might detect that fire once scorched the ground.
