When the White Ravens first landed on the continent of Vetus Mundi, we came first to the village of Gai’hana. Its people were being subjugated by Pirates! We soon learned that The Principality of Nuln had been terrorizing villages all along the coast of Vetus Mundi. The White Ravens liberated the people of Gai’hana from their cruel Pirate lords.

The Ravens were then told by many that not all Pirates were bad. That the Pirates subjugating Gai’hana were the worst of the worst! The other Pirates praised us for getting rid of them! So we gave the Principality of Nuln another chance.

Last summer, when the Undead Captain Santiago was terrorizing the high seas, The Ravens agreed to work together with the Pirates to end his reign. The Ravens and the Pirates recovered the Treasure Chest which contained the Undead Captain’s bones. It was the key to his destruction! And the Chest could not have been opened, but for the skills of Dame Terra Monteforte! But the Pirates immediately double-crossed us! They stole the Chest and tried to steal our War Galley, The Nightshade, trapping us on an island!

The Ravens, together with the Kult of Tharros, have blockaded the Bay of Nuln for months to prevent the ships from leaving and marauding up the coast of Vetus Mundi. But the time has come to end the scourge of Piracy in our fair realm!

WHEREUPON, The White Ravens have Resolved to Declare that a State of War Exists between itself and the Principality of Nuln.
