Lightbringer
Lightbringer is a recurve bow imbued with holy energy. It has proven instrumental in the fight against the demons, subduing Festar the Plaguemaster.
Artifact entries are often intentionally sparse and incomplete. This is either by virtue of exposure to very few characters OR keeping the information confidential to prevent unwanted attention. Root around at events to learn more.
Backstory
From the journal of Sir Randy:
March 1st, 2023
It was roughly 3 years ago, shortly after Orzulon had come through the Ebon Gate. We had learned that normal weapons did little to nothing against them, so we began questing. In the process we ran across some information that lead us to a trial that had been set long ago by some force.
If a group could defeat the gauntlet, and best its defenders, a prize awaited. A small group of us readied ourselves and entered. We faced 3 trials. The first forced us to fight each other, proving strength of arms, and reducing our numbers. I remember not the 2nd, but the 3rd we were set up on by large wererats that were partially immune to normal weapons. At the time our mages had not adapted the lay lines in ways to enable combat magic, but luckily our group had several now knights of the realm in it.
Eventually besting them, we entered the final chamber and found a single scroll. The prize was that 1 weapon could be chosen to be placed upon the altar, and upon reading the scroll, would be imbued with holy power. As a holy sword was already in the realm that could be used against the demons, all agreed my bow should be chosen both due to my skills, and the tactical advantage of having a ranged weapon against the forces of evil. Upon seeing the result, I immediately thought of the name Lightbringer, after the streaks of light it launched across the battlefield into Festar the Plaguemaster. Reaching him through his minions, so that he could be shackled and dealt with. Since then it has proved invaluable as this now holy relic can destroy simple undead with a single hit, as well as do significant damage to larger undead and other demonically inclined foes.

Physical description
Lightbringer is a 54" tall recurve bow made of layered beech, black walnut, ash, & sandalwood. Arrows nocked by the bow shine with a blue and white sheen.
In-game stats (if known/applicable)
Lightbringer’s arrows grant +1 damage and the holy attribute, bypassing undead and demon resistance.

Limitations
Lootable.
The Rules of Combat apply. Lightbringer, like any bow, should be used safely and not at close distance. Generally, a bowman will discard the bow to switch weapons if a melee fighter closes the distance, but this bow shall not be considered lootable until its original carrier is subdued or otherwise abandons the combat field.
Please don’t steal Sir Randy’s actual bow. Its ribbons can be stolen and affixed to another recurve bow if it comes to that.
