The village is made up of primarily the Merghit Tribal nomads. Commissioned by Vidar Khan, the village serves as a waypoint for travelers and traders. If a rider carries a gerege (diplomatic passport), then they can be given a fresh horse and supplies for their journey. Because of its strategic position, it is a crucial hub for expeditions and trade routes.
