Biography
Biography
Before he was Ulfrick the Resplendent, before he called himself Ulfrick of the Shattered peak, he was simply Ulfrick. A member of a nomadic tribe from the far north of the old world, he raided for glory and plunder. A worshiper of four primordial gods of chaos, he spent his life trying to attract their gaze. Then after beating an enemy champion in battle his wish was granted. Ulfrick tossed and turned on the loose animal skins of his tent and he dreamed. He saw a massive mountain peak surrounded by angry clouds boiling with an unnatural light, with a roar that must have been ripped from the throat of the gods themselves when the peak exploded. Atop this shattered mountain peak a swirling vortex of energy formed and seemed to beckon to him.

Upon waking and seeking counsel with the tribe shaman, Ulfrick was convinced the gods sent him this vision to seek out the mountain. He left that day, heading north into the desolate wastes even further north in his home, where the gods and mortals can meet. After months of grueling travel and wandering he saw the peak in the distance. But one final trial waited for him at the foot of a great stone staircase leading up to the swirling peak. A mutated champion waited at the steps, weapon drawn. After a vicious battle leaving him broken and nearly dead, he began to crawl up the steps. Within sight of his goal he finally collapsed.

But instead of passing into the void, he awoke on a grassy plan. Looking down he saw his body was healed and he felt stronger than he had in his life. In the distance he saw what looked like a nomad camp, he stood up and inhaled air not tainted by corruption or death. Then strode forth to meet whatever destiny the gods had set him on.
