Biography

Vargr was born on the shore of the river VĂĄn. As a child he was adventurous and often traveled specifically where we wasn’t supposed to go. He was known for his long, blond hair, his charm, and his tasty meads. He was favored by many in his village. One day a strawberry blond man came into town and spoke about what was at the end of the ever VĂĄn: the chained wolf Fenrir. You see his spittle is was caused the river to flow. As a worshiper of the god Tyr Vargr needed to see that shackled wolf for himself, and so he took a boat upstream. It was pulled by a giant yak upstream. For months he traveled until he came source of the river. The giant wolf Fenrir. He then beheld the sad, misunderstood beast. Tormented, locked into place with a sword in his mouth. Fenrir had done nothing to receive this punishment, instead Fenrir was punished for what he MIGHT do in the future. In Vargr’s eyes, Fenrir’s agony is a testament to when justice (tyr) is sacrificed for knowledge (odin). Ragnarök is inevitable, so why must this creature live this way?

He then stumbled upon an apiary, and a lovely beekeeper named Dalla Strigander, when Vargr met Dalla he was intrigued by her honey , for these bees came from the Vanier Beyla, the god of bees and honey. Vargr using all charms and long blond hair tried to woo dalla into giving him some of the honey. She denyed him, anying it was not her honey to give. He tried again, and was once again denyed, but while attempting to do so Vargr fell in love with dalla. He along with his yak would stay in this place, honey be damned, for he wish to stay with dalla. One day dalla proposed to vargr they should wed. However, Vargr stated he need to leave the area to go find honey to make mead for the celebration. Dalla, wishing to not part with with vargr, decided to give some of her honey to Vargr. He spent 6 months making this mead, he used boiled water from the river Van, cherries and hibiscus along with dalla’s honey. When it was time for the feast offer the wedding, he gave it to all in attendance. The entire realm was in awe of this mead, one simply had to try this mead! It was said even the gods would be jealous of what was created to signify the bond of Dalla and Vargr.

However, this moment of happiness was fleeting as a tall man, with one eye wearing a cloak and holding a spear demanded to try the mead. Dalla demanded vargr get the mead, he still had a bottle left. When he finally pored the mead for the man he drank it and said “how did you make this mead”. Vargr told him that he sources the honey from dalla, and that the water used was from the river Van. At that moment the old man spit out the drink immediately This was no man, rather it was Odin himself. Odin knew that Fenrir is prophesied to be his killer and fear that his mead could very well be the method to which he would meet his end. “YOU USED MY HONEY WITH THAT BEAST SPIT, YOU FOOL YOU COULD HAVE KILLED ME!” Enraged, odin saw to punish the young couple. He grabbed dalla and threw her as hard as he could sending her beyond where Vargr could reach her. He then turned his eye toward vargr, who was trying to get away on his Yak. He then saw a portal and pushed the yak through it and right as he was about to follow the yak in odin grabbed him his long, blond hair. Trying to get away he order the yak to run forward, hoping that it would pull him into whatever portal had come into being. The yak pulled hard, as did odin. Eventually Vargr was able to break free, but not without a cost: His hair would never grow on the top of his head again.

Away from his love he then found himself in ostera , a land that was nothing like where he was from. He vowed that day he would find a way back to dalla, though he didn’t know how that would happen. He then met vidar, a man who shared the name of the one who is destined to kill Fenrir. He took this as a sign, and chose to follow vidar. He then would see success helping the vidarian seek peace with the misriki elves, after which vidar sought to give vargr the title of “Mouth of the Khan “ this was due to his prowess at the negation table but also his ability to project his voice in battle Eventually vidar and vargr, along with several other traveled to distant lands were in vargr was reunited with dalla.
