Adventuring in Domos is a bit different from normal campaigns. Because we have a lot of players planning adventures, and sharing information is done in a more precise way.
There are two ways to go on an adventure, you can join an adventure, or set up a adventure yourself.
Information of what happened in adventures is shared through creating reports in the #collected-information Discord channel and sharing rumors in the #rumors channel.
Join a group or create an adventure
The #adventure-planning Discord channel will contain multiple forum posts where party leaders are looking for adventurers to join their adventures. You can read through their mission goals and sign up using their datumprikker links if it sounds like a fun time.
The partylead will then post a few possible dates the adventure could happen, and a Gamemaster picks one of the dates to run the session. You will be @mentioned in the #planned-sessions Discord channel if you are part of the party that is going on the adventure.
You can also set up an adventure yourself. A quick guide on how to set up an adventure can be found in #adventure-planning.
Code of Conduct during sessions
Since party compositions and Gamemasters change around, it's very important that everyone is on the same page when it comes to playing TTRPG's in Domos.
Respect rulings Gamemasters make during a session.
If you feel a ruling is unfair or incorrect, please approach the Gamemaster in question or the Gamemaster teamlead after the session. If you do not feel comfortable doing so, please approach a Player Guide through a ticket or private message.
Be on time for sessions and pay attention to the best of your abilities.
Make a character that will cooperate with others and that has decent motivations to be an adventurer.
Give every player room to shine. Don’t try to be the main character in every session. Everyone should be able to play an essential part in the story.
Take the organization’s work seriously and try to treat it with respect.
Sharing information
Rumors
Rumors are gathered by other adventurers who have noticed things on their adventures. They may be very vague or straightforward, and only gamemasters know if they are actually accurate or not.
Example:
Strange Owl - The Weird Church on the east side of town
We saw a strange owl fly towards the church on the east side of town. The townspeople seems to avoid this church.
Rumors are to be shared with others. There is no guarantee of playing in a sequel of the adventure in which you found the rumor, or the sequel even existing at all. But, there are always other rumors to pick up. Hoarding or keeping rumors for yourself is not allowed. Rumors are supposed to circulate through adventurers, so everyone has a chance to go on an adventure and find something new!
Collected Information
After each adventure, the partylead ensures that a report is written about all the important events of the adventure. This allows other adventurers who weren't part of the party to read about what happened and follow how the story is progressing. The quality of the information in the report is entirely up to the players, so writing good reports is very important!
