Downtime
Earning Downtime
There is much a character can do during downtime. Since we are playing with a large group, there is also a large amount of downtime. To balance this, downtime is treated as a resource in Domos. You can earn downtime by playing.
After every session, you’ll earn 3 days of downtime.
After every event, you’ll also earn downtime.
The amount depends on the event. You’ll earn this even if you did not participate.
Using Downtime
Downtime can be used in several ways:
Earning income
Crafting
Retraining your character.
Earning income
During downtime you can use the ‘Earn income’ downtime activity (Player Core pg. 228)
You can use either, Crafting, Performance or a Lore for this.
Since this cycle is in a high level city, you’ll have no problems finding work, and can find work up to your level. Below is a table describing the amount you can earn.
Income Earned

This table and more information on earning income can also be found in
(Player Core pg.288) or on Archives of nethys
An example: You are a level 2 Bard, Trained in the performance skill and want to spend 8 days of downtime earning income.
You will have to declare what you want to do in your forum.
“I want to spend 8 days of downtime earning income at level 2 using Trained performance.”

Since you are level 2, and trained in the skill, this is the best you can do. You can always choose to go for a lower level, but never higher.
After you’ve declared what you want to do, all you need to do is roll to see if you succeed.

You rolled an 11 and your performance is +7, so you ended up with 18.
Since you chose a level 2 job, the DC is 16, so you successfully earned the income.
And since you used 8 days of downtime, you earned: 8 days x 3 sp = 2 gp and 4 sp!
All you need to do now is make another post stating your success (or failure), and your new totals.

Critically succeeding earns you one level higher. So in the previous scenario you would’ve earned the level 3 reward instead: 8 days x 5 sp = 4 gp
Critically failing however, results in the days being wasted, yielding no reward
Degrees of success (Player core pg.401) or on Archives of Nethys
Crafting
In Domos we are adhering to the standard crafting rules (Player core pg. 236).
The full explanation can also be found on Archives of Nethys.
To craft Uncommon or Rare items you need to have access to that item using Story Points
For this cycle, you will have access to the specialized workspaces needed to craft items. Specialized toolkits have to be supplied by yourself however.
Retraining
If you don’t like a choice you’ve made during character creation or level up, or should you just want to try something different, you can also use downtime to retrain your character.
Domos mostly uses the normal retrain rules (Player core pg.440) Archives of Nethys. but adapt the system slightly to accommodate the playstyle of Domos and due to our recent switch from DnD 5e to Pathfinder 2e.
A single feat, skill increase, or class feature can be retrained for
3 days of downtime.
A full retrain, where you may even switch your class, costs
12 days of downtime.
Your ancestry, heritage and background are not retrainable.
Before you edit your character on the foundry, your retrain has to be approved first. You can do this by making a ticket in #create-a-gamemaster-ticket. After the change is approved, you make a new post in your forum stating the changes.
Additional uses
Later in the cycle we may introduce new ways to spend downtime.
