The Sanctum

A powerful but small group of legendary individuals who are mostly unknown to the world, with their core goal being to keep the powerful, dark forces of the world at bay. Members are servants or avatars of gods or the few mortals of the world capable of contending with such powerful individuals. They are politically neutral and never intervene with what they call "small evils" as a group. Their focus is instead to contend with beings normal mortals have no hope of overcoming. Their last publicly recorded moment of intervention was during The Black March.
