Location

The Dunwater widens here, the current is slow and brown with silt. The air hangs heavy with the scent of brine and decay. The water become brackish. Thick reeds crowd the banks, with the occasional oak or cypress tree.

The river forks through a maze of marsh channels. Shapes move among the reeds, figures half-seen in the fog, while smoke rises from unseen fires deeper in the swamp.

The croak of frogs and the buzz of insects echo from the banks, a reminder that you are not alone on these waters.
