Location
As you approach The Wicker Goat, the scent of roasting meat and woodsmoke drifts from its sturdy stone chimney, mingling with the salty sea air. The tavern’s weathered wooden sign creaks in the breeze, depicting a stylized goat’s head carved into the oak. Out front, a large wicker goat effigy stands near the entrance, its woven frame an old Saltmarsh tradition, now freshly restored. The building itself is a sturdy, two-story structure, its thick timber beams and stone foundation marking it as a place built to last. The warm glow of lantern light spills from the windows, and the muffled sounds of laughter and clinking mugs promise a lively evening within.
