Entrance / Private Chambers

At the base of the tower stands a small stone annex, serving as Keledek’s private chambers. Inside, the air smells faintly of parchment and incense. A narrow shelf holds a handful of aged tomes, their spines cracked with use. A heavy bed, draped in long flowing curtains, can be drawn shut to conceal it when visitors are received. Before a modest hearth rests a single plush chair, its cushions worn yet comfortable, clearly the favored seat of the tower’s master.

  • Keledek’s Habits:
Keledek rarely uses his bed for proper sleep. Instead, he is a habitual catnapper, taking brief thirty-minute rests between long hours of research and study. The chamber serves less as a bedroom and more as a parlor to receive visitors, projecting a veneer of normalcy.

  • Magic Mirror:
The tall mirror near the entrance is enchanted. Whenever anyone enters the tower, the mirror activates, allowing Keledek to scry into the chamber if he is away. He is immediately aware of intruders or guests.

    Detection:

    • A character with a passive Perception of 18+ senses an unsettling feeling of being watched.

    • The mirror’s enchantment can be discovered with a DC 18 Intelligence (Arcana) check.

  • Glyph of Warding
Above the door leading into the main tower, a faint blue sigil glows softly.

    • Detection:

      • A DC 16 Intelligence (Investigation) check reveals the symbol as a glyph of warding.

      • Characters who already know the glyph of warding spell recognize it immediately without a check.

    • Function:

      • When glowing, the glyph is active, and Keledek is aware it is armed.

      • When dim, the ward is inactive.

      • The command word to activate or deactivate the glyph is “Suponez” (Zenopus spelled backward).

Kitchen

The scent of herbs and spices lingers in this small, tidy kitchen. Scrolls and loose papers, smudged with stains, are stacked on the counter beside jars of dried leaves and roots. Though simple in appearance, the recipes etched here carry faint magical traces each devoted to health and longevity. A rack of wine bottles rests in the corner, several bearing the seal of Gellan Primewater, who often gifts the wizard rare vintages.

  • Keledek is a strict vegetarian and dabbles constantly in herbal recipes for longevity, mixing mundane and magical techniques.

  • The kitchen scrolls, though smudged and heavily used, all contain minor magical elements tied to extending life.

Bathroom

A large copper tub dominates the room, its surface hammered by hand until it gleams dully in the lamplight. A wood stove warms both water and chamber, while shelves of exotic oils line the walls. The air carries a faint perfume of spices and flowers. The chamber feels more like a place of ritual than simple bathing.

  • Bathing is one of Keledek’s few indulgences. He takes long, hot baths, treating them as both rest and ritual.

  • During these soaks, his imp familiar Zivmal delivers detailed reports on the town. This quiet routine has become a bond between them: Keledek soaking in fragrant oils while plotting Saltmarsh’s future, Zivmal whispering secrets from the shadows.
