Background

Eliander Fireborn hails from a noble family that has served the Kingdom of Keoland for generations. When appointed as Captain of the Guard in Saltmarsh, he chose an old coastal manor as his residence, using his family's wealth to refurbish it.

Perched on the edge of town overlooking the sea, Eliander’s home serves as both a sanctuary from the bustle of Saltmarsh and a place to host important guests, including the annual visit of the Viscount from Seaton, who often arrives with dignitaries.

Household Staff

  • Benedict (Valet & Housekeeper) – A stoic, older gentleman who oversees the household. He maintains the home’s tidy and orderly state and is the only one allowed to clean the library.

  • Cleaning Staff – A team arrives once per week, supervised by Benedict.

  • Cooking Staff - Usually Benedict cooks for Eliander, unless Eliander is expecting company, in which Benedict has a local lady who comes to the house to prepare the occasional meal.

  • Event Staff – When hosting special guests, Benedict arranges for additional servants and waitstaff.

Eliander’s Privacy & Social Life
Eliander values his privacy but does entertain select guests, especially notable figures from Seaton and Keoland. His manor is rarely open to visitors, unless they have a compelling reason or are part of his trusted inner circle.

Library

Eliander is an avid book collector, amassing one of the most impressive private libraries in the region—rivaling those in much larger cities, including the capital Niole Dra. His collection contains exceedingly rare books, making his library a hidden treasure of Saltmarsh.

While he rarely speaks about his collection, fellow collectors "in the know" occasionally visit to trade, sell, or buy rare tomes. His library is also a valuable source of historical knowledge, especially regarding the history of Saltmarsh.
