Background
Eliander Fireborn descends from a noble line long in service to the Kingdom of Keoland. Upon his appointment as Captain of the Guard in Saltmarsh, he purchased and restored an aging coastal manor overlooking the sea, using family wealth to return it to quiet grandeur.
Set at the edge of town, the manor serves as both retreat and reception hall. It is where Eliander hosts select guests—including the annual visit of the Viscount of Seaton and accompanying dignitaries.
Household Staff
Benedict (Valet & Housekeeper) – A stoic, aging retainer who manages the household with exacting standards. He alone tends the library.
Cleaning Staff – Arrive weekly under Benedict’s supervision.
Cooking Arrangements – Benedict prepares Eliander’s daily meals. For formal occasions, a local cook and temporary staff are hired.
Event Staff – Additional servants are brought in when entertaining dignitaries.
Privacy & Social Standing
Eliander values discretion. The manor is rarely open to visitors unless they have official business or belong to his trusted circle. Entertaining is deliberate, not casual.
Library
Eliander is an avid collector and maintains one of the finest private libraries in the region—rivaling collections in Niole Dra itself. The volumes are rare, historically significant, and meticulously preserved.
He speaks little of the collection, but knowledgeable collectors occasionally visit to trade or negotiate acquisitions. Beyond its monetary value, the library is a powerful repository of regional history—particularly concerning Saltmarsh and the greater Sheldomar Valley.
