Fishmonger Plant - 2nd Floor

Office
The office is surprisingly neat and well kept. A round window on the far wall looks out over Saltmarsh Bay, letting in soft gray light. A broad desk stands at the center, its surface covered with tidy stacks of papers; pay ledgers, catch reports, and boat manifests. A pair of worn bookshelves hold only a handful of old, salt-stained volumes. A small side table supports two mismatched mugs and a half-finished bottle of Monmurg Spiced Rum. Near the stairs, a door leads out to a balcony overlooking the Fishworks below.
Desk Papers
A quick search reveals:
Names of local fishing boats
Types of catches
Amounts paid
Seasonal notes and yield predictions
One boat name is circled: Lady Mary, with a note simply reading “missing.”
If asked: Donall explains the Lady Mary last sailed the coast near the Dunwater Delta and hasn’t returned. He fears the worst and offers 10 gp for any information. He immediately blames the dwarven mine slurry, saying it forced the crew farther along the dangerous Hool Marsh coastline.
Bookshelves
The books are old and well-used:
Tide charts & moon-phase tables
Navigational hazards of the Javan Bay and Dunwater coast
A shipbuilder’s manual
Fishing almanacs and coastal lore
