Torren’s Private Chamber
This quiet, fire-warmed room exudes a sense of deep thought and private study. A broad hearth crackles with a steady flame, casting shifting light across worn stone walls. Beside it stands a tall bookcase, crammed with scrolls, old tomes, and rune-etched documents—many of which Torren has copied or annotated in his precise, angular script.
The furnishings are sparse but deliberate: a thick chair positioned to face the fire, a sturdy side table cluttered with open parchments, and a rune-inscribed lamp shedding a soft, amber glow. It's clear this space is more than a resting place—it is a sanctuary of research, solitude, and quiet obsession.
Torren rarely allows visitors into this room. Among the scrolls and notes is a Journal. | ![]() |
Guest Room
The room is simple and sparsely furnished, offering basic accommodations for a visiting guest. A modest bed, a small table with a stool, and a chest for personal belongings are all that occupy the space.
This room is usually reserved for a dwarf from the company visiting from the Tor Mountains. It’s currently unoccupied and contains nothing of value or interest unless you've seeded it with something specific.
Dworic's Private Chamber
The foreman's room is modest and practical. A neatly folded set of spare clothes and boots rest near the bed, alongside a few well-used mining tools. The space is clean, tidy, and clearly maintained by someone who values order and efficiency.
Dworic is only present about 20–30% of the time, spending most of his days overseeing operations at the mine. He stays here when visiting Copperlocks for monthly updates, staffing reviews, or logistical needs. A no-nonsense dwarf, Dworic requires little comfort and keeps the room utilitarian. There is nothing of value here unless planted intentionally.
Barun's Private Chamber
This small, orderly room reflects the mind of a meticulous archivist. A desk holds carefully stacked notes, along with a list of duties and documentation protocols for the stone tablets Barun uses to record the mine’s history. The rest of the chamber is modest—just a simple bed, a chair, and a wall shelf with a few personal items—everything in its proper place.
Among Barun’s private notes are references to ancient myths and legends tied to the region—but also clear concern about something unsettling deep within the mine. His writing reveals growing frustration at Copperlocks’ refusal to take his warnings seriously. If players gain access to these notes, they may uncover cryptic clues pointing to a long-buried secret or forgotten danger lurking far below.
Thorek's Private Chamber
The master gem cutter’s room is clean, orderly, and purpose-driven. Two tall cabinets stand against the wall, filled with finely crafted gem-cutting tools and an assortment of semi-precious stones. A large bed rests beneath the window, its linens neatly arranged—simple, but well cared for.
A closer inspection of the tools reveals they are exceptionally well-made, clearly custom-forged for precision work. The semi-precious gems appear to be used for practice and refinement, suggesting that Thorek often hones his craft in private during his off hours. The space reflects a dwarf whose life is wholly devoted to his art and discipline—everything here has purpose, and little else.
Bath Room
Two bathrooms are readily available, each featuring a small cabinet beneath housing chamber pots that the staff regularly empty. Among these facilities, one bathroom stands out, boasting an ornate brass bath tub accompanied by an assortment of scented oils for a luxurious bathing experience.
Lounge
This warm, inviting lounge offers a comfortable space for rest and conversation. Ample seating surrounds a central hearth, while stone cabinets house a variety of regional spirits and wines from the Saltmarsh area. A stout keg bears the mark of the renowned Salty Dwarf Brewing Co., always ready to pour.
Finely carved tobacco box and an assortment of wooden pipes—ideal companions for a quiet evening of relaxation.
This private lounge is a favorite spot for Barun Deepdelve and Torren Flinkcloak, who often meet here to unwind. The two kindred spirits share a love of lore and debate, frequently discussing ancient myths and arcane mysteries. Barun is always trying to get Torren interested in the deeper secrets of the mine, while Torren is more drawn to tales of lost magical relics scattered throughout the region.
Copperlock's Private Chamber.
This spacious and finely appointed chamber reflects Copperlocks' status as the respected leader of the Dwarven Mining Company. The room includes a private bathing area, a modest seating space for personal meetings, and a copper ventilation tube near the hearth, designed to draw smoke and steam safely out—an innovation from the Tor Mountains.
Thick stone walls muffle outside noise, offering peace and privacy. Comfortable yet practical furniture lines the space: carved stone shelves, a reinforced wardrobe, a writing desk, and a large dwarven bed covered in heavy woven blankets. The décor is simple but elegant, with accents of copper and deep violet, symbolizing wealth and wisdom.
Manistrad Copperlocks often uses this room not only for rest but for private one-on-one meetings with her most trusted staff. Each week, she invites one member of her inner circle to dine or talk in private, giving them space to express ideas, raise concerns, or share insight away from others. This tradition has earned her deep respect and loyalty, and it allows her to maintain an intimate understanding of her team’s morale and needs.
She keeps no business-related valuables here—those are locked away in the office—but she does keep a few personal heirlooms and treasured items, including:
The Flameheart Circlet: A finely worked copper and ruby circlet, passed down through her clan, said to warm the wearer in deep mountain winters. (Worth 250 gp)
Ancestral Forgehammer: A miniature ceremonial hammer carved from black basalt and inlaid with silver runes. Used to bless new mining ventures. (Worth 300 gp to collectors or dwarves of her clan)
Silver Beard Ring of Clan Copperlocks: A symbolic item of status among her kin, set with a polished garnet. (Worth 150 gp, sentimental value far higher)
Office & Storage
Copperlocks’ private office is a compact yet highly functional workspace, doubling as a meticulous archive. Shelves and drawers are filled with records tracking the movement of shipments between the harbor and the nearby mines, including inventory logs, merchant accounts, and gem tallies.
Adjacent to the office is a small storage room, neatly organized with essential supplies used for the day-to-day upkeep of the residence—tools, spare equipment, ledgers, and materials for maintenance.
The office door is kept locked.
Only Copperlocks and Dworic carry a key.
Inside, players can find shipping manifests, gem inventories, merchant records, and details related to security protocols. This information is of great interest to external factions such as the Scarlet Brotherhood, the Sea Princes, or Gellan Primewater’s smuggling network. If accessed or stolen, these records could compromise the Dwarven Mining Co.’s operations and alliances.
