Fabric Fantasia

Bolts of wool, cotton, and silk stand stacked in neat rows, their colors rippling like a painter’s palette. A few simple dresses and tunics hang from pegs, fluttering in the sea breeze. The goods here are of fine make, leftovers, overstocks, and unsold pieces from the Tidal Tailor on Sharkfin Bridge, making this stall the best place in town for quality at fair prices.
Wares: Cloth, garments, and tailoring materials.
Proprietor: Milly, daughter of Nelly the tailor. She manages her mother’s market stall with keen eyes and quick fingers, selling patterns, fabrics, and clothing to locals who can’t afford the finer fashions of Sharkfin Bridge. Always cheerful and practical, she’s proud that her family’s craft clothes nearly everyone in Saltmarsh.
Scented Spice

The air around this stall is rich and warm with the scent of crushed peppers, cinnamon, and far-off markets. Clay jars and wicker baskets overflow with colorful spices—deep reds, golden yellows, and fragrant browns. Behind the counter, a half-elf works a stone grinder, filling sachets and bowls for eager customers.
Wares: Exotic spices and seasonings.
Proprietor: Vayva, a half-elf spice trader and wife of Yarjan from Loom of Legends. They spend months at sea each year, trading rugs and spices in distant ports, and when she returns, her stall becomes a favorite haunt of Saltmarsh’s cooks and innkeepers. Vayva loves to share tales of her voyages as much as she loves the scents of her trade.
Wicker Whisperer

A simple rug spread on the cobblestones displays baskets of every kind—broad hampers, fishing creels, and finely braided decorative pieces. The scent of fresh reed and willow lingers in the air. A young woman sits cross-legged behind the display, her fingers deftly weaving strands as she offers a warm smile to passersby. A wagon behind her holds bundles of wicker and well-used tools.
Wares: Handwoven wicker baskets.
Proprietor: Soneta, the quiet twin sister of Boneta from Dewdrop Depot. She crafts the wicker carriers used for her sister’s glass jugs, ensuring they can be safely hauled aboard ships. Though often mistaken for Boneta, Soneta speaks softly and prefers to let her hands and her craft do the talking.
Hide & Seek Leather Works

The scent of oiled leather hangs thick in the air. Rows of sturdy boots and finely crafted satchels line the stall, their polished surfaces catching the light. Behind the table, a woman works with steady hands—stitching a heavy boot with leather thread and tapping in a tack nail. Many of the boots are wide and thick-soled, sized for the dwarves who labor in the nearby mines.
Wares: Leather shoes, boots, and bags.
Proprietor: Lorrel Kester, daughter of Osric Kester, carries on her family’s proud craft. Once known only for shoes and bags, her business flourished when the dwarves arrived, demanding durable work boots. The Kesters are respected artisans and Loyalists who maintain close ties with the garrison, an allegiance that earns both admiration and quiet disapproval among Saltmarsh’s Traditionalist townsfolk.
Boundless Barrel

Sturdy barrels are stacked high and lashed down beside a heavy wagon, their curved sides gleaming with fresh pitch. Some are brand new and smell of oak and resin; others bear old trade marks and sea stains from long voyages. A tall man with a peg leg works a hoop with a wooden mallet, the rhythmic thump echoing through the market.
Wares: Barrels and casks, both new and used.
Proprietor: Marshoal, a weathered sailor turned cooper, strong-armed and broad-shouldered despite his missing leg. Gruff but good-natured, he claims to have lost his leg in a sea battle, though the details shift depending on who’s listening. To some, he fought the Sea Princes; to others, the Keoland Navy. He refurbishes used barrels for ship ballast or dry storage, giving every cask a second life at sea.
