While they remain dedicated to safeguarding Altoria from dark forces, their methods have grown increasingly authoritarian, causing citizens to view them with both reverence and fear.

The presence of the Endless Abyss—an eldritch rift beneath the city—has only bolstered their power, as they claim it to be a gateway to unimaginable horrors. This looming threat justifies their ever-expanding mandate, allowing them to act with almost unchecked authority. Yet, beneath their noble mission lies a complex web of internal politics, zealotry, and questionable morality.

Headquarters

The Obsidian Bastion, located in the Ironclad Ward of Altoria, serves as the headquarters of the Ebon Inquisition. It is a dark, imposing structure of black stone, fortified with wards against both physical and magical attacks.
