Scavenger's Satchel is a small, cluttered general store in Shadowgrove, serving as a lifeline for the district's struggling residents. Known for its chaotic inventory of salvaged and makeshift goods, the shop once bustled with quiet activity, catering to those desperate enough to buy what others had thrown away. Its shelves were stacked with coiled ropes, rusted tools, battered cookware, and crude weapons fashioned from scrap metal. The air inside was often thick with the mingling scents of oil, damp wood, and the faint tang of rust.
Recently, however, the shop has fallen into an eerie silence. Boarded-up windows and a door marked with jagged claw-like scratches bear testament to the disturbing events that drove its owner, Raimund, to flee. The once-lively establishment now exudes an oppressive aura, as if the very shadows of Shadowgrove have taken root there. Locals avoid it, muttering about symbols carved into its walls and an inexplicable chill that seems to seep from its foundations.
Nestled at the corner of Lantern Street and Ash Lane, the shop's outward appearance is unremarkable but for the poorly secured planks hastily nailed to its windows. The faded wooden sign bearing its name sways slightly in the wind, hanging lopsided from a rusted chain. Despite its abandonment, a faint lantern glow occasionally flickers from within, a silent invitation—or warning—to those who dare to approach.
