Description
Kalasilyadiel has no clan name, although elves and druids in the region might remember a time when he did. Raised by a family whose members all become Leaf druids, Kalasilyadiel spent the first five decades of his life piously following their teachings and enjoying the carefree vibrancy of a young elfling playing about in a homeland well suited to him. Shortly after his fiftieth birthday, an incident occurred, and Kalasilyadiel was not so much as cast out from his family as he was asked to leave, and so he relocated permanently to the settlement of Gunnhildr. Nobody outside of his former family, a handful of squirrels, and the plants living in a small secluded grove know the specifics of the incident in question, but it is rumoured by idle gossips amongst various elven and druid communities in the region that Kalasilyadiel actively defied the Fohlaidh Matriarch, his own great-grandmother, and she apparently decided ending their association with Kalasilyadiel was preferable to alternative consequences.
For the last 60+ years, Kalasilyadiel has sought to build a name for himself, earning a reputation that he can lean on with pride and that might keep him fed and clothed. He's an amiable but also occasionally nosy sort, enthusiastic about intervening to assist others where he can on just about any task or errand. He is rarely in a rush, expecting as long a lifespan as others of his kind, but without the pressures of being migratory. He is a keen gardener with an interest in flowers, although he can't turn away from opportunities to apply his knowledge to larger projects such as sustainable agriculture or the medicinal applications of herbal compounds, should someone related to those fields of work chew his ear.
In his time as a proactive resident of Gunnhildr, Kalasilyadiel has delivered mail, tutored languages, and even babysat the current chieftain when he was but a toddler - in fact, because Toran MacRaithe was too little to be able to pronounce his chaperone's name, Kala become informally and universally known by locals as Colour. Colour has watched Toran grow up, and age, all the while barely changing in appearance himself, excepting the living blanket of patchworked floral arrangements Colour brought to life after meticulous tending and concealed loneliness. Presently, always adorned by Tranquil, Colour feels all the more optimistic about living up to the vibrancy promised by his name.
