House Pyre, of Wharfdale

House Pyre of Wharfdale is the Great House of The Saltides, led by Robert Pyre, Realmlord of The Saltides . The Pyre banners are emblazoned with a counterchanged pair of maces on an azure field divided red per chevron.

The two maces represent the siblings Selene and Eldric, who led the charge into Wharfdale during the siege of 322 AUE.

Before the Pyres held Wharfdale and The Saltides, it was held by the rebel house of Duskridge, who opposed King Gustav II's announcement that the kingdom would become ruled by The Elder Council after his death.

House Pyre took the city by force in 322 AUE, killing Aric Duskridge and handing the Saltides back to the Crown's control.

For this loyal service, House Pyre was raised to greatness and given Wharfdale as a seat.
