History
Relevant Background
Before the Great Exodus; Humanity, Gnomes and Half-folk were disinfranchised and mistreated. They were used as slaves by their Wurm-born masters and used to create the great cities of Thêsos but reap none of their rewards. After Thësos had reached its peak, the slavery turned to mistrust and hatred, leading to vast swathes of "Anurous Beasts" like humans and gnomes searching for a new home.
Founding
The obvious choice for a new home for these refugees was the huge continent to the north-east of Thêsos, however after multiple attempts of colinisation, no more than the odd frontier town was created because of the response from the resident "Wild-Folk" present. The Wild folks' raids on these towns made it almost impossible to survive to create more than a loose gord.
Multiple colonies were created on Kærryl and Fyrstyn, but the islands were not suitable for the huge fleeing population and those towns quickly established themselves as independent city states, free from rule. These eventually became known as The Archepeligian States.
Finally, a strong burh was created in what would later become Teres. It is unknown who first founded the town; scholars believe that it was a combined strike from a colony on Kærryl and from a group sailing from Thêsos, while the priests of The Eight Saints - Lythranic Theology believe that early aspects of The Shield and The Flame were responsible in creating the new home for mankind.
Major Events
Present Day
The lands of Lythran are mapped and settled but even after almost a millennia, untamed. The Wildfolk raid from the True and Gifted wilds, deep races birth themselves from beneath and claim new land, abominations creep in from the shadows and drac wurms take human prey for the first time in a hundred years. All is not well, and it seems there is little nobility can do to save it.
