The Heartlands are a grand and golden collection of plains and steppe, with major rivers and lakes running down from the Paladir Mountains towards the Lythic Channel. While the Heartlands are vast and beautiful, they are less densely populated than some other realms due to its extreme climate and harsh winters. The flatlands lead to intense wind and little cloudcover which is a poor climate for traditional farming.
The majority of the population are in the core cities of Lustrkeep, Alfaer, Yustminster and Nantwych, or in smaller villages centred around grazing livestock or mining operations. The Heartlands are ruled by Lord Perwyth, realmlord of the Core. The Heartlands are one realm tasked with guarding the The Gifted Wilds, and protecting citizens from their raids.
