The Baselands

Above the Heartlands, nestled in the Claviculous Mountains, sit the Baselands. These craggy and valley-split lands are controlled by House Briarhill and feature icy streams that flow from the frozen peaks to their north into Lake Lythenmar and the ocean beyond. The Baselands suffer harsh winters, and moderate summers, and produce some of the best timber in Lythran, making up the core of their industry
At the helm of House Briarford stands Lady Gwenyth Briarhill, also known as the Crone of Pines. She is one of the only two members of House Briarhill remaining, with the other being her 7 y/o grandson Roderick (Roy) Briarhill. As her grandson is too young to lead the house, she is regent until he comes of age.
