The Fallowholds
"Mess with the bull, get the horns"
The sloping hills that lead northward into the highest peaks of Lythran can bear witness to the most wonderous sight, gryphon-knights, training for war. War is behind Lythran now though, and they are more often used for herding vast reams of cattle and reporting movements of abominations through the frosted woods.
Lord Ethric of House Fél heads the Fallowholds, one of the most respected and eldest of the great houses. He rules from Kelmar Castle, seated on Kelmar peak, a large mound that gives a grand view of the enormous grazing plains for the house's signiature beast, the Fallow Bovine. The Fallowholds act as staunch loyalists to Lythran and have put forth measures for its protection from threats both domestic, foreign and monstyrous.
